ADAMSON University stunned Far Eastern University, 25-23, 23-25, 15-25, 25-20, 17-15, on Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum in the UAAP Season 79 volleyball tournament.

Jerome Sarmiento and Michael Sudaria had 19 points apiece for the Falcons, while Dave Pletado added 15.

Adamson scored its third win in nine matches, still in seventh place but it is mathematically possible to still reach the semifinals although the Falcons need to sweep the next two elimination-round matches and hope the other teams would falter.

The Falcons next take on University of Sto. Tomas and University of the Philippines, both with 5-6 records.

FEU dropped to 6-6 but remained in third spot.

Ateneo leads with a 12-0 record followed by National University at 11-2.

La Salle is in sixth at 4-7.

Greg Dolor scored 27, John Paul Bugaoan and Richard Solis added 14 apiece, while Redijohn Paler contributed 11 points for FEU.
