NATIONAL University finally becoming familiar with new coach Roger Gorayeb’s system couldn’t have come at better time in the UAAP women’s volleyball tournament.

Standout Jaja Santiago admitted the Lady Bulldogs have slowly adapted to the style of Gorayeb, almost two months since the multi-titled coach took over the team.

As thing stand, the Lady Bulldogs are currently in solo third place with a 7-6 (win-loss) slate and very much in the running for a shot at defending champion and outright finalist Ateneo Lady Eagles in the step-ladder playoffs.

The feeling is mutual as far as the veteran mentor is concerned.

“Ok na sila, nakukuha na nila ang gusto kong mangyari, hinahabol na nila ang bola, kumikilos na sila,” he said.

The Lady Bulldogs are currently on a three-game winning run after they disposed of the Adamson Lady Falcons on Wednesday, 25-18, 22-25, 26-24, 25-19.

“Lahat ng tinuturo niya ina-accept namin,” said Santiago.

NU plays its final elimination-round assignment on Sunday opposite University of the Philippines.
