GRETHCEL Soltones is focusing on her final shot at a title in the NCAA women’s volleyball tournament, vowing to work even harder after leading San Sebastian to another finals appearance with a sweep of the elminations.

San Sebastian finished runner-up thrice in the last four years — 2013 to Perpetual when Soltones was a rookie, 2015 to Arellano, and 2016 to St. Benilde.

Now on her final year, Soltones back-to-back MVP but without a title, hopes to break her duck.

It will be more than a week before the second final spot is filled by the winner of the stepladder semis.

The semifinals start on Friday with the match between No. 4 San Beda against third seed and defending champion College of St. Benilde.

The winner will face second seed Arellano University, which is armed with a twice-to-beat advantage.
