George Pascua takes Sta. Lucia head coaching job as he gets no contract extension from Cignal
Sta. Lucia, sixth in the nine-team Grand Prix, hopes to move up the ladder with George Pascua as coach.

GEORGE Pascua, getting no contract renewal with Cignal after the season, has chosen to move to Sta Lucia for the Super Liga Grand Prix in February next year.

The FEU women’s volleyball coach takes over from coach Jerry Yee, who resigned as Lady Realtors mentor last week to move to Total in the Premier Volleyball League.

Sta. Lucia announced Pascua’s hiring on Twitter. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Pascua led Petron to a rare 13-0 sweep in the 2015 All-Filipino Conference and a championship in the 2014 Grand Prix with a team led by American import Alaina Bergsma and Brazilian setter Erika Adachi.

He moved to Cignal earlier this year and helped HD Spikers claim the co-championship in the PSL Invitational Conference topped by Japanese club Kobe Shinwa.
