FAR Eastern University is demanding immediate results and new coach George Pascua expects nothing less.

Pascua, named new Lady Tamaraws coach a month after the dismissal of Shaq de los Santos, sees a lot of potential in an almost intact lineup that has not missed the Final Four the past three seasons.

"Give me this year. I'll try my best," said Pascua on Monday. "Kasi 'yun ang gusto ng may-ari, champion agad. Siyempre, boss ko 'yan kaya gagawin ko 'yung best ko. Lahat gagawin ko para ma-meet 'yung expectations."

Pascua was at the Philippine Super Liga press conference on Monday with his pro club Cignal, but the discussion was centered on his appointment as FEU coach.

Expectations are high in Morayta as FEU tapped Pascua, no stranger to bringing championships to FEU, having led the Tamaraws to four titles in his 11-year reign as head coach.

"Ang una kong gagawin sa program is 'yung mindset ng mga bata. Kung ano 'yung goal namin, objective namin, kung ano 'yung system namin. Kasi gusto ko, team building muna bago kami mag-focus kung ano 'yung objective namin, tapos ilabas 'yung maximum potential nila sa game, 'yung talagang linalaro nila," said Pascua, who is also the head coach of Cignal in the PSL.

Pascua is glad to return to his alma mater, saying that he consider any coaching offers in college volleyball other than FEU.

"Happy naman ako na naibalik ako sa FEU. Ever since naman, hindi ako kumuha ng team, though may mga offers. Hindi ko naman kinuha para kalabanin ang FEU. Kasi gusto ko, kung babalik man ako sa collegiate, sa FEU," said Pascua, who plans to meet with the entire squad once their commitments with other leagues are done.

"95 percent," said Pascua, when asked how intact the team is. "Pero hindi pa kami nagmi-meet. May kanya kanyang liga sila. Siguro after ng PSL na, mga second week of August na."
