FORMER Tamaraws volleyball coach George Pascua is returning to Far Eastern University, appointed head coach of the women's team for the UAAP Season 80.

Pascua replaces Shaq Delos Santos, athletic director Mark Molina announced on Sunday.

“George Pascua will be the new head coach of the FEU women’s volleyball team,” said Molina.

Molina said Pascua was chosen because of his championship experience both in the UAAP and in the Philippine Super Liga.

Pascua won four titles in the UAAP men’s volleyball and led Petron to back-to-back championships in the PSL.

Current men’s team coach Rey Diaz will be Pascua’s assistant, while former FEU stars Tina Salak, Rachel Anne Daquis and Remy Palma have been invited to join the coaching staff.

Pascua is currently the head coach of Cignal, which will start its campaign in the PSL All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday.

Delos Santos, who also suited up for the FEU men's volleyball team in the 90's, started his coaching stint with the Lady Tamaraws in 2011.

Under De los Santos, the Lady Tamaraws made four Final Four appearances.
