THE future looks bright for La sale even with the departure of key players, with Kim Kianna Dy already taking charge.

Dy finished her impressive finals series by leading the way for the Lady Spikers in the title decider and getting the finals MVP award in the women’s volleyball tournament of UAAP Season 78.

The third-year Lady Spiker scored 17 points as the Lady Spikers beat Ateneo in four, ending the Lady Eagles’ two-year reign.

It was Dy who scored the championship point, ending two seasons of disappointment for the Taft-based squad.

La Salle coach Ramil de Jesus is confident that with Dy, La Salle will remain a formidable squad.

“Iba ‘yung magiging composition ng team. Pero at least, nandoon sa mataas na level,” said De Jesus.

Graduating player Ara Galang agrees.

“Yes, of course, sobrang laki ng potential niya,” said La Salle graduating player Ara Galang. “Sobrang laki ng tiwala sa kanya ng mga coaches.”

But Dy played down talk that she will be the next leader as she made it clear that the title victory was a team effort.

“Team effort. Siguro we’ll work pa ‘yung mga kulang next year. See you all next season,” Dy said.
