FAR Eastern University secured at least a playoff for the twice-to-beat advantage in semifinals of the UAAP Season 80 women’s volleyball tournament after beating National University, 25-21, 25-22, 16-25, 25-20, on Sunday at the MOA Arena.

FEU improved to 10-4 for the provisional second spot, while Ateneo (9-4) plays its final elimination-round match against No. 1 La Salle (11-2).

The Lady Tamaraws later clinched the twice-to-beat advantage after La Salle beat Ateneo.

Skipper Bernadeth Pons led FEU with 17 points and 16 excellent receptions, while Celine Domingo added 12 markers.

NU team captain Jaja Santiago scored 21 points and Jorelle Singh added 10 markers.

NU at 7-7 is locked in at No. 4.
