FAR Eastern University made it to the win column after a faltering start, while Adamson University suffered a second consecutive loss as the Lady Tamaraws downed the Lady Falcons, 25-12, 25-19, 25-16, on Wednesday in the UAAP Season 92 women’s volleyball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.

Bernadeth Pons and Remy Palma led the attack for FEU with a combined 28 points as the Lady Tamaraws came up with a solid start and a strong finish to emerge on top in a battle of opening-day losers.

FEU bounced back from a straight-sets loss to titleholder La Salle, while Adamson, which earlier bowed to University of the Philippines, slipped to 0-2.

FEU was holding a comfortable, 21-10, lead in the second set before Adamson threatened, 18-21, but the Lady Tamaraws immediately got back up and pounded on the Lady Falcons.

Bernadette Flora finished with nine points for Adamson, while Jema Galanza added eight.
