EMILIO Aguinaldo College salvaged its first win in the NCAA Season 93 women’s volleyball tournament when it defeated listless Mapua, 25-23, 22-25, 22-25, 25-23, 15-12, on Thursday at The Arena in San Juan.

EAC snapped a five-game losing skid and kept Mapua winless in six outings.

Ladeisheen Magbanua finished with 17 points for the Lady Generals, while Aira Binondo scored 16. Jaylene Lumbo added 15 markers and Yvette Tongco contributed 13.

“Masaya syempre kasi nakailang five sets na laging talo, ngayon nakalusot so nakagaan-gaan kami,” said EAC coach Rodrigo Palmero.

Patria Pena led the way for Mapua with 20 points, while Angeline Magundayao had 10.
