LA Salle Lady Spikers received an overwhelming reception worthy of champions as thousands of fans gathered at the Henry Sy Hall inside the De La Salle campus to fete the UAAP Season 78 women’s volleyball champions on Friday.

An estimated crowd of 2,000 attended the meet-and-greet event where the Lady Spikers thanked their supporters in their road to the Season 78 title.

All the Lady Spikers were present as they sang, danced, and played parlor games with their fans. The players also accommodated autograph requests from adoring followers.

La Salle coach Ramil De Jesus was surprised with the turnout.

“Ininform kami na may simple meet-and-greet so expected namin konti lang. Nagulat kami na maraming dumating. More than 2,000,” said De Jesus, who also got his share of requests for selfies and autographs.

Fans also expressed their gratitude to the graduating seniors led by Ara Galang and Mika Reyes, while also chanting ‘One More Year’ towards Kim Fajardo, who is eligible to play for another season with the Lady Spikers but has yet to commit to returning.
