Tests reveal no structural damage to Cyd Demecillo knee, La Salle spiker expected back in two weeks

AN MRI scan revealed no structural damage to Cyd Demecillo’s right knee, but the La Salle outside hitter is expected to be out for two weeks due with a sprain.

“After an MRI last night, no ACL or MCL tear, sprain only. (But) may need up to two weeks of rest though,” La Salle athletic director Nongnong Calanog said on Thursday.

Demecillo hurt her right knee as went for a dig on the last play of a four-set win over University of the Philippines.

She was was brought to Makati Medical Center after the win that gave the Lady Spikers a share of the lead with the Ateneo Lady Eagles.

Demecillo scored eight points as La Salle scored its eighth win in 10 matches.
