LA Salle outside hitter Cyd Demecillo will undergo an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) to determine the extent of the knee injury she suffered in their match against University of the Philippines in the UAAP Season 78 women's volleyball tournament on Wednesday at The Arena in San Juan.

The graduating Lady Spiker appeared to have hyperextended her right knee after a dig in the final play of the match. She was then carried off on a stretcher and rushed to Makati Medical Center while her knee was being iced.

La Salle coach Ramil de Jesus was clueless on the diagnosis and severity of the injury to his ward, but he joined the Lady Spikers in hoping that it's nothing serious.

La Salle turned back UP, 18-25, 25-12, 25-18, 25-21, to improve to 8-2 for a share of the lead with Ateneo. Demecillo finished with eight points and 11 digs, before being carried off soon after the game ended.
