DEFENDING champion College of St. Benilde survived Emilio Aguinaldo College, 19-25, 20-25, 25-7, 25-14, 15-11,in the NCAA Season 93 men’s volleyball tournament on Monday at The Arena in San Juan.

Skipper Isaah Arda led the way for CSB with 19 points, while Francis Basilan added 12 in a match that took an hour and 40 minutes to finish.

The Blazers improved to 4-1 at the third spot behind unbeaten teams University of Perpetual Help and Arellano University, which hold an identical records of 5-0.

It was a close contest in spikes (47-47) and blocks (8-7) but EAC’s carelessness gave 41 extra points to CSB.

Joshua Mina finished with 16 points for EAC, while Christopher Ilano Jr. and team captain Denzel Rasing each had 11 markers.

The Generals fell to the seventh spot with a 2-3 card
