COLLEGE of St. Benilde clinched the top spot after an easy win over defending champion University of Perpetual Help, 25-21, 25-23, 25-14, in the playoff match of the NCAA Season 92 men’s volleyball tournament on Friday at The Arena in San Juan.

Johnvic de Guzman led CSB as the only player in double figures with 23 points in a match that took just an hour and 12 minutes.

The Blazers will face the No. 4 seed Arellano in the semifinals on Monday.

Isaah Arda and Owen Bacani added eight markers apiece for CSB.

Rey Taneo Jr., skipper Manuel Doliente and Esmail Kasim finished with seven points each for UPH.

The Altas dropped to the second spot and will clash with No. 3 San Beda in the semis.

Both CSB and UPH are armed with a twice-to-beat advantage in the semifinals.
