NATIONAL University kept its slate unblemished, downing University of the Philippines, 26-24, 25-19, 26-24, on Monday in the round robin quarterfinals of the Spikers’ Turf Collegiate Conference at The Arena in San Juan.

Bryan Bagunas and Madzlan Gampong had 12 points apiece for NU, which holds a 4-0 win-loss card.

NU’s earlier victories over also-rans University of the East and Mapua don’t count in the quarterfinals.

Francis Saura and James Natividad combined for 13 points for the Bulldogs, who needed an hour and 21 minutes to take the win.

Wendel Miguel scored 16 points and skipper Aldred Valbuena added 14 for the Fighting Maroons, who dropped to 1-2.
