Arellano overcomes poor start to beat Perpetual in five and stretch streak to six

DEFENDING champion Arellano University remained unbeaten in the NCAA Season 93 women’s volleyball tournament, overcoming a poor start to beat University of Perpetual Help, 22-25, 19-25, 25-21, 25-20, 15-5, on Tuesday at The Arena in San Juan. 

Jovielyn Prado led the way for the Lady Chiefs with 20 points, Andrea Marzan scored 16 and Regine Arocha added 14.

The Lady Chiefs are unbeaten in six games to take the solo lead over San Beda College (5-0).

Maria Tripoli scored 20 points, Cindy Imbo added 19 and Lourdes Clemente chipped in with 12.

The Lady Altas absorbed their second loss in six outings but remained in third spot.
