ADAMSON snapped its four-game losing run with a 25-15, 25-22, 25-18 victory over University of the East on Sunday in the UAAP womens’ volleyball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.

Amanda Villanueva scored 13 points, while Mylene Paat and Jessica Galanza each had 11 markers as Adamson improved to 4-6, joining National University, University of the Philippines and Far Eastern University in fourth spot.

“Malaki ang tiwala ko sa team bago pa naman mag start ang UAAP alam ko naman na may pupuntahan ang team,” said coach Sherwin Meneses, hoping the Lady Falcons would come up with a win run and close in on the leaders.

Adamson started the season with two losses, bounced back with three straight, then suffered a four-match slide.

“Malaki pa naman ang chance na makapasok sa Final Four sana dito na rin magstart ang winning streak namin,” he added.

Shaya Adorador scored 12 points, while Angelica Dacaymat added nine for the Lady Warriors, winless in 10 matches.
