Alyssa Valdez-led Creamline begins bid in PVL Reinforced Conference against Petro Gazz

CROWD favorite Creamline takes on Petro Gazz, while PayMaya faces Tacloban in the opener of the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference on Sunday at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

Valdez leads the Creamline Cool Smashers against the Jerry Yee-mentored Petro Gazz Angels in the 4 p.m. match.

Grethcel Soltones-led PayMaya battle Tacloban in the 2 p.m. match.

Pocari Sweat-Air Force is back to defend its title, while other teams seeing action are Navy-Iriga, BaliPure-NU and BanKo-Perlas.

Format is single round robin elimination among eight teams with the top two gaining automatic semifinal berths. The rest will play another round, with the top two clinching the last two seats in the semifinals.

The league will also hold games in the provinces during the eliminations, with Tuguegarao City hosting matches on May 12 and 13.

The league will also hold matches in Baliwag on May 23.

The men’s division has six teams led by Open and Reinforced champion Cignal.

Also seeing action are Instituto Estetico Manila, Air Force, Army, PLDT and newcomer Vice Co bannered by actor Vice Ganda.
