Air Force edges Navy in five to set up Spikers Turf title showdown with Cignal

AIR Force survived Philippine Navy, 25-15, 20-25, 29-27, 24-26, 15-12, on Sunday to reach the finals of the Spikers’ Turf Reinforced Conference at The Arena in San Juan.

The Airmen arranged a title showdown with the Cignal Spikers, who also needed to play five sets against PLDT.

Jeffrey Malabanan scored 17 points, while Rodolfo Labrador, Reyson Fuentes and Ruben Inaudito each had 16 markers for Air Force.

Air Force and Cignal begin the best-of-three title series on Saturday.

Nur Amin Madsari scored 16 points, Wilbert Jayson Sapida had 14 points, and Christopher Senisan had 13 markers for Navy, which will face PLDT in the battle for third.
