Air Force survives error-plagued match against PLDT in PVL

AIR Force survived an error-plagued match to beat PLDT, 25-15, 22-25, 24-26, 25-16, 15-12, on Wednesday in the in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at The Arena in San Juan.

Ranran Abdilla led Air Force with 28 points, Ruben Inaudito added 25 and Edwin Tolentino contributed 10.

Air Force scored 62 on attacks against 49 by PLDT. PAF also had more blocks (10-2) and service aces (9-2) but gave away 41 points through errors in the two-hour match.

Skipper John Vic de Guzman led the way for PLDT with 18 points, while Ronjay Galang and Henry Pecana came off the bench to add nine and eight points, respectively.

IEM dealt Philippine Army its second straight loss, 25-22, 23-25, 25-22, 25-14.

Mark Enciso scored 15 for the Phoenix Volley Masters, while Jeffrey Jimenez had 14 and team captain Greg Dolor had 11.

Skipper Benjaylo Labide scored 13 for Army, which lost to Vice Co. in the season-opener.
