Lady Chiefs coach Obet Javier admitted that the absence of former players Anne Esguerra, Jovielyn Prado, Andrea Marzan is a huge blow, but good thing that his wards stepped up to the occasion.
Kumbaga kailangan talaga naming mag-practice ng husto, malaki pa ‘yung dapat namin punan, malaki pa ‘yung depirensiya namin,” he said.
AU tallied 35 spikes, five blocks and five service aces in the match that took one hour and six minutes to finish.
Dolly Grace Verzosa finished with nine points for JRU.
