DEFENDING champion Pocari Sweat goes for a fifth consecutive win when it faces Perlas in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference on Tuesday at The Arena in San Juan.
The match starts at 6 p.m.
The Lady Warriors are on a roll after starting the tournament with two losses and Myla Pablo, Elaine Kasilag and Cai Nepomuceno started to find their rhythm with Jeanette Panaga and Jessey de Leon.
“Going to our training practice pa rin kami ng service receive namin, doon talaga kami madaming pagkakamali,” said Pocari Sweat coach Rommel Abella.
Perlas, meanwhile, is coming off a five-set victory over BaliPure and holds a 3-2 win-loss card.
Team captain Dzi Gervacio, Amy Ahomiro and Sue Roces are again expected to take charge for the Spikers.
Meanwhile, Alyssa Valdez-led Creamline looks to score back-to-back wins for the first time this conference.
Valdez played through pain as the Cool Smashers snapped a two-match skid with a win over Philippine Air Force.
The Cool Smashers are in fourth spot with an even 3-3 slate.
The match is set at 4 p.m.
Creamline assistant coach Sherwin Meneses is hoping that the other players would raise their games to help Valdez.
“Eh talagang mahirap kapag walang katulong si Alyssa mabuti nag-step up ‘yung iba kahit konti,” he said.
“First game pa lang talagang kailangan na namin ang imports kasi medyo late nabuo ang team kaya kailangan talaga (ng imports),” he added.
BaliPure scored three straight wins before bowing to Perlas and enters the match with a 3-1 record.
