MIKA Reyes is only hoping for the best as she seeks for a spot in the Philippine squad that will see action in the World Women’s Club Volleyball Championship on October 18 to 23 in Manila.

Competing with some of the country's best players for a spot on the PSL selection, Reyes said she is lowering her expectations that she will be part of the host team that will compete against the best clubs in the world in Europe, Asia, and South America.

Jovelyn Gonzaga and Rachel Anne Daquis were the first two local players named to squad, with four more spots up for grabs.

“Hindi ako nag-eexpect pero siyempre, alam ko rin na may ibang deserving sa position na ‘yun,” said Reyes.

Reyes was recently named as ambassador for the Philippine Super Liga and will represent the league and promote its advocacies in local and international events.

The former La Salle spiker said she is not in a hurry to be a part of the PSL team that will also tap seven imports.
