MIKA Reyes became the last local player to be named to the Philippine Super Liga All-Star selection competing in the FIVB World Club Women's Championship on October 18-23 at the MOA Arena.
Philippine Super Liga president Tats Suzara handed the F2 Logistics middle blocker from Pulilan, Bulacan the golden ticket to the world showpiece in a ceremony held before a league game at La Salle in Lipa, Batangas on Thursday.
The 22-year old La Salle alum and three-time UAAP champion completed the cast of seven local players in the team, joining RC Cola Army hitters Jovelyn Gonzaga and Rachel Anne Daquis, Petron spiker Ces Molina and libero Jen Reyes, Foton stalwart Jaja Santiago, and Reyes' Cargo Mover teammate Kim Fajardo.
Reyes and Co. will be joined by seven foreign reinforcements when they go up against some of the world's best club teams.
The PSL All-Stars will face European champion Pomi Casalmaggiore of Italy, South American powerhouse Rexona Ades of Brazil and Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul of Turkey in Group A.
Meanwhile, Asian powerhouse teams Bangkok Glass of Italy and Hisamitsu Springs of Japan as well as VakifBank Istanbul of Turkey and Volero Zurich will tangle in Group B.
