Mark Alfafara scored 19, while Ysay Marasigan added 17 points as the HD Spikers took the solo lead.
Rex Intal and Lorenzo Capate JR. also had 12 points apiece while Peter Torres added 11.
Army team captain Benjaylo Labide scored 16 points, while Romnick Rico chipped in 13.
The Troopers absorbed their first defeat in three outings, dropping to joint second spot with Sta. Elena.
