Leo Miranda scored 13 points, while Paolo Pablico added 12 as the Falcons notched their fifth victory in 11 matches.
George Labang had nine markers, including the game-sealing ace as the Falcons tied University of Santo Tomas for the fourth.
"Importante kasi na makapasok sa pang-apat, hindi namin hinahangad 'yung mas mataas," said Pablico.
Bryan Bagunas paced NU with 14 points, while Fauzi Ismail and skipper Francis Saura chipped in eight markers apiece.
The Bulldogs now hold a 9-2 slate to share the No. 1 spot with Ateneo and Far Eastern University.
UST improved its semifinal chances with a 25-22, 25-20, 14-25, 25-21 win over La Salle.
Josh Umandal led UST with 18 points.
Raymark Woo had 20 points and Arjay Onia contributed 16 for La Salle, which holds a 4-7 record.
