Jhonlenn Baretto poured in 24 points for Lebanon, while Furtado Bruno added 23 and Arthur Al Zayek and Adam Khoury chipped in 17 and 12, respectively.
Huu Ha Nguyen and Van Hann Nguyen came with 18 and 17 markers each for the Vietnam.
The Lebanese thus gained the early lead in Pool B, while Papua New Guinea and Chinese Taipei are still playing in Pool D as of posting time.
Meanwhile Kazakhstan Kondensat-Zhaikmunay upset Hong Kong Green Dragon, 25-16, 25-17, 25-20, at Cuneta Astrodome.
