The Lady Stags controlled the game most of the way led by two-time MVP Jeng Baulee, who had 18 points, while Nene Bautista added 11.

“Masaya kasi top one pa rin kami,” said team captain Suzanne Roces. “Unti-unti na lumalabas yung laro namin, nag-je-jell na yung team. Sana magtuluy-tuloy na ‘to.”

The Lady Stags remained on top with an 8-1 (win-loss) card.

Sanrda delos Santos was the lone player from the Rising Suns to finish in double figures with 13 points. Cagayan Valley-Perpetual Help dropped to third spot with a 6-3 card.

Earlier, Philippine Army beat the Lady Eagles 23-25, 25-18, 25-23, 26-24 for their seventh win with Michelle Carolino leading the team with 24 points, on 18 attacks, two blocks and four service aces.

Jacqueline Alarca and Daquis added 14 and 13, respectively, for Army.

“Hindi maganda yung laro namin ngayon, yung mga second stringers hindi nag-step up,” said Army coach Rico de Guzman. “Si Michelle, wala na ako mapapalit sa kanya sa bench kaya sakripisyo na lang muna siya at ang first six ko.”
