Short-handed San Sebastian makes it back-to-back victories, keeps Mapua winless

SAN Sebastian College bagged its first back-to-back win in the NCAA Season 93 women’s volleyball tournament, beating Mapua, 25-20, 25-7, 29-31, 25-14, on Tuesday at The Arena in San Juan.

Skipper Joyce Sta. Rita registered 28 points from 22 kills and four blocks as SSC improved to 3-2, gaining a share of fourth spot with College of St. Benilde.

Nikka Dalisay had 17 markers, Daurene Santos had 11 and Dangie Encarnacion contributed 10 for San Sebastian, which was coming off a four-set win over St. Benilde.

SSC had more attacks, 58-33, and service aces, 9-3, in the one hour and 31-minute match.

Angeline Magundayao had 10 points for Mapua, winless in five matches.
