ATENEO handily beat La Salle-Dasmariñas, 25-12, 25-12, 25-17, on Sunday to complete a four-match sweep of its group in the 10th Shakey's V-League First Conference at the Arena in San Juan.
Guest player Rachel Anne Daquis finished with 13 points for the Lady Eagles, who needed only 62 minutes in transforming the match into a mere workout.
"Ganon naman ang goal namin lagi every game ang tapusin namin yung laro ng straight sets," said Daquis.
The Dasmarinas belles were the fourth to fall to Ateneo after the Eagles earlier turned back University of Santo Tomas, San Sebastian College and Letran College in Group A.
"Syempre masaya kasi yung lahat ng pinaghirapan namin may napuntahan naman, nagbunga sa apat na sunod na panalo," said Daquis.
All but the two liberos scored for the Katipunan-based squad as Fille Cainglet also finished in double figures, coming up with 13 markers.
Ateneo had 11 service aces while La Salle-Dasmariñas only had one.
Iari Yongco made seven points for the Lady Patriots, who now hold a 1-2 win-loss card.
Ateneo had earlier booked its spot in the quarterfinals. Ten teams are seeing action with the field divided into two groups. The top four from each side will advance to the quarterfinals after the single-round eliminations.
