ATENEO is still hopeful Dzi Gervacio and Gretchen Ho will be able to suit up for the Lady Eagles in the Shakey’s V-League Season 10 First Conference.

Head coach Roger Gorayeb said the two have been included in the Lady Eagles' lineup despite Gervacio and Ho not seeing action in a debut win over University of Santo Tomas on Sunday for personal reasons.

Gervacio will be pursuing a law degree while the popular Ho plans to venture into a hosting career, the Ateneo coach said.

Since they are both part of the team’s official roster, Gorayeb said he is still open to the possibility of the two players suiting up for the Lady Eagles as they bid for a third straight First Conference crown.

“Si Dzi kasi will take up law na. Si Gretchen naman is going to venture into a hosting career,” disclosed Gorayeb. “But they are in the lineup, so anytime na gusto nila mag-practice, puwede naman.”

Ho didn’t see action for the team against the Tigresses, but sat on the Ateneo bench during the game.

Gervacio, meanwhile, is still on a vacation with her family in Europe.

Gorayeb is happy that setter Jem Ferrer and spiker Fille Cainglet - who like Gervacio and Ho have already played out their UAAP eligibility with the Lady Eagles - have decided to staywith the team for the V-League.

“Si Jem, may offer ng trabaho. Pinaki-usapan ko muna na mag-stay dahil defending champion naman kami,” said Gorayeb.
