NATIONAL University and Adamson clash for one final time for the right to meet reigning champion Ateneo in the Finals of the 10th Shakey's V-League First Conference Sunday at The Arena in San Juan.
The Lady Bulldogs made the 4 p.m. match possible after winning Game Two of their semifinals showdown Tuesday to even their best-of-three series at 1-1 after being stunned by the underdog Lady Falcons in the opener.
But with the series now down to a single game and a berth in the Finals at stake, both teams vowed to leave everything out on the floor.
"All out na kami, ibibigay na namin lahat," said NU coach Edjet Mabbayad. "Di na namin hahayaan na makuha sa amin to (Finals spot).
“No tomorrow na."
Dindin Santiago, who led National University with 27 points built on 18 spikes, five blocks, and four service aces in the team’s 20-25, 25-21, 24-26, 25-21, 15-12 win in Game Two, is expected to anchor the Lady Bulldogs’ Finals bid.
But Adamson is looking to regroup and repeat its come-from-behind win in the opener, 22-25, 25-18, 25-19, 22-25, 15-13.
Guest player Angela Benting, who came away with 28 points in that Game One victory, is the player to watch for the Lady Falcons along with team captain Pau Soriano and Bhebs Pineda.
