DE La Salle geared up for its much-anticipated match with National University with a 25-16, 25-15, 25-14 rout of University of the East on Wednesday in the UAAP Season 76 women’s volleyball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.

The unbeaten Lady Archers made quick work of the winless Lady Warriors for their 13th victory before they clash with the Lady Bulldogs on Saturday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

La Salle is eyeing a sweep of the eliminations and an outright finals spot that will arm the Lady Archers with a thrice-to-beat edge against their opponent.

Head coach Ramil De Jesus was satisfied with the victory before they face NU, which is in second with a 12-1 win-loss record.

“Sabi ko sa mga bata, gusto ko ’yung magandang performance in preparation for the game sa Saturday, although ’yung first set namin, medyo mabagal,” said De Jesus.

Cyd Demecillo tallied 10 points, while Abigail Maraño and Mika Reyes chipped in eight points each for the Lady Spikers, who also took the opportunity to use the bench in the easy victory
