DE La Salle notched its fourth win in as many outings in the UAAP Season 76 women’s volleyball with a methodical 25-9, 25-21, 25-19 victory over University of the Philippines on Sunday at the Arena in San Juan.

National University stopped Far Eastern University, 25-22, 25-19, 25-19, to continue shadowing the defending champion Lady Spikers.

With Ara Galang and Mika Reyes doing what they do best, the Lady Spikers allowed the rookie-laden Lady Maroons some semblance of a challenge in the second and third sets but were literally unnerved in notching their fourth straight victory, keeping the Lady Bulldogs at bay with a 3-1 card.

Galang finished with 16 points on 11 attacks, two blocks and three services aces with four receptions, while Reyes accounted for 15 points.

Angeli Araneta had nine points with four digs for the Fighting Lady Maroons, who dropped to their fourth straight setback.

In men’s action, defending champion NU remained unbeaten following a 25-23, 25-15, 25-22 over UP, while Ateneo dominated Adamson University, 25-23, 25-21, 25-18.
