REIGNING champion La Salle guns for a ninth straight win as it takes on Adamson University in Season 76 of the UAAP women's volleyball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday.

The Lady Spikers, who have yet to lose a single set this season, collide with the Lady Falcons at 4p.m.

Although fancied to win the match, team captain Aby Maraño, Mika Reyes, Ara Galang, Cyd Demecillo, and the rest of the Lady Spikers are not about to take the fourth-seeded Lady Falcons lightly.

The San Marcelino-based spikers, on the other hand, will rely on dependable duo Amanda Villanueva and Bhebs Pineda, who each had 14 and 13 points, respectively, in the team’s win over University of the Philippines last week.

Meanwhile, Far Eastern University faces winless University of the East (0-8)  in the other half of the weekend doubleheader.

The Lady Tams will try to recover from their, 18-25, 24-26, 23-25 loss to National University last Saturday.

Bernadette Pons, Geneveve Casugod, and Mary Palma are expected to take charge for FEU, which is currently tied with Adamson with an even 4-4 record.
