LA SALLE-Lipa eyes its third straight win and the first berth in the semifinals when it battles La Salle-Canlubang on Saturday in the girls’ division of the Toby’s Junior Volleyball League at the Quorum Sports Arena in Pasig City.
The Lipa A tossers swept past La Salle-Zobel, 25-13, 25-17, and MGC New Life Christian Academy, 25-20, 25-11, to take the top spot in Pool B.
Gametime is at 11 a.m. after the 10 a.m. opener between San Agustin and Miriam College in girls Pool A.
The Miriam spikers return to action at 1 p.m. as they clash with the La Salle-Lipa B, which totes a 1-1 card. San Agustin and La Salle-Lipa B battle at 4 p.m.
In the boys’ division of the tournament sponsored by Toby’s Sports, Shakey’s Pizza and Mikasa and organized by Metro Sports, La Salle-Lipa goes for its third straight win as it squares off with St. Joseph’s College at 2 p.m. while Palanan Elementary School seeks its third win in four games when it battles winless Rafael Palma Elementary School at 3 p.m.
