LA Salle-Dasmariñas dominated Letran, 25-14, 25-21, 25-21, to open its campaign in the 10th Shakey's V-League at The Arena in San Juan on Tuesday.

Returnee Jennifer Manzano came away with 18 points as the Lady Patriots shook off a case of nerves and took control from start to finish.

"I'm so happy kasi hindi nagpaapekto sa kaba yung mga bata," said La Salle coach Darwin Campana.

"Sabi ko lang sa kanila i-grab natin yung opportunity na ipanalo ang bawat game.”

Campana, who steered La Salle-Dasmariñas to six championships, including last year's National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) title, said the tournament is a good exposure for his team.

"Masaya ako na maipakita namin ang talent namin dito sa Shakey's V-League. At least magandang exposure ito," he said.

La Salle and Ateneo are now tied at the top of Group A with one win apiece.

Thai guest player Patcharee Sangmuang led the way with 12 markers for the Lady Knights.
