LA Salle coach Ramil de Jesus remained a hard man to please even after the Lady Spikers disposed listless University of the East, 25-18, 25-17, 25-20, in the UAAP Season 80 women’s volleyball tournament on Wednesday at The Arena in San Juan.
The win, which put La Salle back in the winning column after a five-set loss to National University, was not enough to put a smile on the face of the 10-time UAAP champion coach.
“Well, ‘yung result importante 'yun eh. Pero ‘yung performance, hindi ako satisfied sa performance today,” said de Jesus when he started the post-game interview that lasted for almost five minutes.
“Hindi mo makita 'yung aggressiveness inside the court and 'yung communication inside the court, so 'yung polish hindi mo makita. So 'yun 'yung medyo disappointed ako,” he added.
Right after the game, de Jesus went straight to the dugout to talk to his wards instead of going inside the media room for a press conference, which is the protocol.
So 'yun 'yung ni-remind ko sa kanila,” he added.
De Jesus’ frustration also came from their previous game, when the team immediately left the venue after a disappointing loss to NU on Sunday.
La Salle improved to 4-1 to remain at the second spot behind NU (4-0).
