LA Salle moved to third spot after whipping Far Eastern University, 25-20, 27-25, 25-11, on Monday in the round robin quarterfinals of the Spikers’ Turf Collegiate Conference at The Arena in San Juan.

The Green Archers bounced back from a five-set loss to National College of Business and Arts to improve their win-loss record to 3-2, behind unbeaten co-leaders Ateneo and National U.

John Onia scored 15 points, skipper Raymark Woo had 14 points, while Mike Frey added 11 markers for La Salle.

Woo also had five digs, while Geuel Asia made came up with all of La Salle’s 26 excellent sets.

The Archers also dominated the blocking department, 7-2, and service aces, 10-2.

Team captain Greg Dolor had 15 points for FEU.

Wins in the eliminations against also-rans don’t count in the quarterfinals, thus the Tamaraws’ victories over Mapua and University of the East were not carried over.
