AFTER months of suspense, La Salle setter Kim Fajardo has finally decided to stay.
Saying she can't bear to leave the Lady Spikers, the incoming fifth-year playmaker said on Tuesday she will play for La Salle in the UAAP women's volleyball tournament kicking off on February 4.
The pride of Calatagan, Batangas had pondered leaving the team even with one more year left in her eligibility. But in the end, Fajardo said she doesn't want to waste the opportunity to play one final time with the green and white.
"Hirap iwan na alam mong may time ka pa," Fajardo, one of the country's top setters, told SPIN.ph.
"Ayoko magsisi sa huli," she added.
Fajardo's decision comes as a big boost for the Lady Spikers, who will be defending the title they won by beating rival Ateneo in last year's finals.
Fajardo will now spearhead the Lady Spikers' title drive along with fellow holdovers Kim Dy, Majoy Baron and Dawn Macandili.
