ATENEO defeated San Sebastian College, 25-11, 25-13, 25-13, on Saturday for its second straight win in the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference at The Arena in San Juan.
Sophomore spiker Jules Samonte had 12 points for the Lady Eagles, who finished the match in 59 minutes.
Kat Tolentino and skipper Bea de Leon each had nine markers, while Jhoana Maraguinot, back from from a foot injury, had eight points as the Lady Eagles improved their win-loss record to 3-1.
Ana Gopico, who has been nursing a hamstring injury, and rookie setter Dani Ravena was fielded for the first time for Ateneo.
Gopico came off the bench in the second set and wound up with four points, while Ravena came in the third set as a substitute.
The Lady Eagles dominated the match in attacks, 39-22, and had five blocks while the SSC belles had none.
Ateneo also had 14 service aces against two by San Sebastian.
Nikka Dalisay had eight points for SSC, which bowed out of the semis race with a 1-3 win-loss card.
SSC and Jose Rizal University (0-3) are out of the semis picture.
