ADAMSON University beat University of the East, 27-25, 25-18, 25-16, on Sunday in the UAAP Season 79 volleyball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Jerome Sarmiento and scored 14 and skipper Michael Sudaria had 10 points as Adamson bagged its second win in seven matches.
Dave Pletado added nine points, while Karlle Ramirez and John Yude combined for 16 markers for Adamson.
Team captain Edward Camposano was the lone bright spot for UE with 11 points.
The Red Warriors went winless in seven matches in the first round, and have lost 35 straight dating to Season 77.
