With the Philippine team coaching staff led by Roger Gorayeb on the sidelines to scout their quarterfinal rival, Japan downed Chinese Taipei in four to register a sweep of Pool C action.
Japan and Chinese Taipei will face the Philippines in the second round of the tournament to form Group E, where Gorayeb expects a tough matches.
