Japan recovers from a set down to beat Chinese Taipei and sweep group stage of Asian U23 Volley meet

JAPAN recovered from a slow start to defeat Chinese Taipei, 24-26, 26-24, 25-23, 25-10, on Saturday in Pool C action of the 2015 Asian Under-23 Women’s Volleyball Championship at the Philsports Arena.

With the Philippine team coaching staff led by Roger Gorayeb on the sidelines to scout their quarterfinal rival, Japan downed Chinese Taipei in four to register a sweep of Pool C action.

Japan and Chinese Taipei will face the Philippines in the second round of the tournament to form Group E, where Gorayeb expects a tough matches.
