COLLEGE of St. Benilde seized the lead in Group B after beating Technological Institute of the Philippines, 25-16, 25-21, 19-25, 25-22, on Saturday in the Shakey’s V-League Collegiate Conference at The Arena in San Juan.
Jannine Navarro scored 24 points as the Lady Blazers scored their second win in as many matches.
Jeanette Panaga had 19 markers, Ranya Musa added 13 and Melanie Torres contributed 12 for CSB.
The Lady Blazers registered 10 blocks against three by the Lady Engineers and Djanel Cheng came up with 38 of the team’s 39 successful sets while TIP only had 23 excellent sets.
Eden Maturan scored 13 for TIP, guest player Hezzymei Acuna added 12 for the Lady Engineers, who fell to an even 1-1 card, tied with University of Santo Tomas.
