JAJA Santiago and the National University Lady Bulldogs hope to complete sweep of the semifinals and get some rest before they resume their bid for a third straight title.
Winner of the last two V-League Collegiate Conference titles, the Lady Bulldogs look to add the Premier Volleyball League crown to their collection.
The Lady Bulldogs are one win away from the finals after a quick win over the Arellano Lady Chiefs on Wednesday.
"Sympre maganda matapos namin tong series sa Game Two kasi gusto rin naming makapag prepare ng maayos sa, hopefully, finals. Excited na rin kami idefend yung title namin," said Santiago.
Santiago deflected the credit after leading all scorers with 24 points.
"Goal ng team namin maging well distributed yung bola. Siguro timing lang na maganda bigay sa akin ng bola and maganda receive," she said.
The second match of the best-of-five series is set on Saturday.
The other semifinal pitting Far Eastern University against Adamson is expected to be tight, both teams missing their top hitters.
The Lady Tamaraws are without Bernadeth Pons, who is seeing action int the UAAP beach volleyball tournament, while Jema Galanza is injured and will not be able to rejoin the Lady Falcons until early next year.
