ITALIAN tactician Angiolino Frigoni is the new head coach of Alas Pilipinas Men.
Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) chief Ramon 'Tats' Suzara confirmed the development to members of the press at the 2024 Volleyball Nations League (VNL) on Saturday.

"Now we have a new Italian coach. He's a two-time Olympic coach, Angelo Frigoni, and he's here to share with us his expertise and to train our team and elevate their skills for next year's (World Championship)," Suzara said.
What happens to former coach Veloso?
Outgoing coach Sergio Veloso, though, won't be leaving Philippine volleyball anytime soon.
The concurrent Ateneo mentor has been appointed as the PNVF's new director for junior development.
Under the Brazilian coach's watch, the program aims to strengthen the country's youth teams from the grassroots level, while also scouting the next generation of volleyball stars from all over the country.
