TACLOBAN cruised to its second straight win in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference, defeating BanKo Perlas, 25-27, 28-26, 25-19, 25-23, on Wednesday at The Arena in San Juan.
Thai import Hyapha Amporn finished with 28 points for the Fighting Warays, who improved to 2-1 for a three-way tie with Creamline and PayMaya at the No. 2 spot.
Skipper Jovielyn Prado also had 16 markers, Thai reinforcement Sasiwamol had 10 and setter Kyle Negrito chipped in nine points for Tacloban, which started the tournament with a loss to PayMaya in the season-opener.
Thai import Jutarat Montripila finished with 22 points for BanKo Perlas, while American reinforcement Lakia Bright made 16.
The Spikers slid to 1-2 at the seventh spot.
