HOPE Christian High School and Colegio San Agustin notched their third straight wins over the weekend to lead their respective divisions in the 17-Under Competitive bracket of the Best Center-organized, Milo-sponsored 17th Women's Volleyball League at the Xavier School courts.
Hope Christian cruised to a 25-20, 25-11 triumph over St. Scholastica's College (2-1) to retain the lead in Group A, which also saw St. Theresa's College (1-2) thump Paref-Rosehill (1-2), 25-23, 25-13.
San Agustin, meanwhile, took the hard route before subduing King's Montessori School (1-1), 25-13, 22-25, 25-11 for the lead in Group B, which also saw victories by San Beda-Alabang over Holy Family School, 25-22, 25-15, and The Academy of God's Children over St. James Academy, 19-25, 25-24, 25-14.
San Agustin defeated SBC-Alabang, 25-20, 26-24, while Dr. Rafael Palma Elementary School beat Saint Pedro Poveda, 25-13, 27-25, in the 13-under Competitive Division.
In the 13-Under Developmental division, La Salle College-Antipolo walked over Assumption College and St. Joseph School of Fairview won over Jubilee Christian Academy 27-25, 16-25, 25-19 in Group A, while Group B action saw SBC-Alabang defeat St. Pedro Poveda, 25-15, 25-19.
OB Montessori downed Philippine Women's University, 25-23, 20-25, 25-9, Colegio de Sta. Rosa-Makati beat St. Scholastica's-Westgrove, 15-25, 25-12, 26-24, Assumption whipped School of the Holy Spirit, 25-18, 25-13 and SBC-Alabang edged St. Joseph-Fairview, 20-25, 25-14, 25-13, in the 17-Under Developmental Division.
