MYCAH Go got a fitting sendoff in her final year with College of St. Benilde.
Go, bound for the Premier Volleyball League next, carried the Lady Blazers to a 25-19, 25-22, 25-19 sweep of Letran and scored a historic fourth straight NCAA women’s volleyball title Wednesday at the Playtime FilOil Centre.
Cristy Ondangan had 13 points and scored the championship point that clinched the title retention bid of the Lady Blazers.
Clydel Catarig finished with 11 points, while Go and Zamantha Nolasco, adjudged as the meet’s best middle blocked for the second straight season, each came through with nine points.

“Ito yung goal namin all season and nakamit namin. There were several ups and downs, at yung pressure ay malaki being the defending champions, but we’re able to pull through,” said Go.
Picked 17th overall by Zus Coffee in the second round of the recent PVL draft, Go was the MVP of both the tournament and finals.
“Two MVPs in one day. This is really special, but I won’t be able to achieve them without my teammates. This is for our team,” she said.

Vanessa Sarie finished with 12 points for the Lady Knights, who also got 11 from Judiel Nitura.
